This paper proposes the development of design principles, developed in the classroom, for wayfinding in digital environments and interaction design for the creation of the user interface. Research was conducted in multiple courses at multiple levels, and has taken the following forms: analysis of existing interfaces, design research exploring characteristics of visual form interaction, design research exploring aspects of traditional wayfinding in the built environment and finally, design concepting applying the proposed principles.
